The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell
My Rating: 5 stars
Sanger Rainsford falls off of his yacht, which he is on for a hunting trip, when he hears gun shots. He skillfully swims to the nearest shore, eerie Ship-Trap Island. Every sailor is afraid of that place. There, Rainsford meets General Zaroff, who is also a professional hunter. The two men talk for a while, mostly about hunting and war, before Zaroff reveals his hunting secret. This secret could change everything. This secret causes Rainsford on a run for his life.
I actually really, really liked this short story. I found is really interesting and original, especially the main controversy. It will definitely be one of my favorites for a long time.
