Willow by Julia Hoban
My Rating: 5 stars
In March, Willow and her parents went out to dinner. Her parents had a little too many drinks, and asked Willow to drive them home. She had her learner’s permit, so it wasn’t like didn’t know how to drive. But of course, that night it poured like it would never rain again. That night, her parents didn’t make it when Willow crashed into a tree.
Willow blames herself everyday for what happened to her parents. She knows her brother hates her for what she did. She thinks she doesn’t deserve to be happy anymore. She deals with her pain by cutting herself, which soon takes over her life. Then Willow meets Guy. He’s different from everyone else. And when he finds out her secret, he tries to teach her to love herself again.
This book was definitely much better than I thought it would be. I just thought it would be a dramatic story about a teenage girl’s life of cutting herself. But Willow’s story, although fictional was full of emotion and much more than just cutting herself. This story was inspiring and amazing. I suggest you read it right away.

Bri! Your site is getting huge! Cool! And I would love to have you post on my school Sharepoint as a guest reviewer. You can sign in from home, or if you’re at school, you are automatically signed in. Go to the Book Nook section of my Sharepoint and post a review if you like. Your passion for books inspired me to create that section. I’ll be letting all my students this year know about your blog. Tell your school buddies they are welcome to post there as well!
Hope you had a great summer!
