The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan
My Rating: 5 stars
**If you haven’t read previous books, don’t read!**
Gabry is used to a quiet life. She’s used to living with her mother, Mary, in the lighthouse and following a routine. She’s used to being somewhat normal. But, everything changes when one night she takes a risk with her friends and goes over the Barrier. One moment changes her whole life. Everything is unbelievable. Also, Gabry learns that everything she once knew isn’t what it seems. She must journey through the Forest to save her friends and find out answers to the unknown. Will she ever know love? Will everything be as it used to be? Did that one night outside of the Barrier mess everything up?
Seriously, I love this book and I love Carries Ryan. I really would love to know what goes on inside her head because her books are insane! I love the Mudo/Unconsecrated! This book took me a while to get into. The same thing happened with the Forest of Hands and Teeth. But anyway, I’m super excited that there is a third book coming out spring 2011, which, in my opinion is way too far away! But I guess I’ll try to be patient. The third book is called Dark and Hollow Places.
