A Child Called “It” by David Pelzer
My Rating: 4 stars
Okay, first off, let me warn you. This book isn’t about the happiest of topics. There are some really sad and cruel moments, so if you think you can’t handle it, don’t read it.
So, I had to read a memoir for school. I picked this book because a couple of my friend suggested it. This book tells a true story of David Pelzer’s life. He had a horrible childhood. His mother would hurt him and starve him. But the main thing was that he found the way to survive.
This book can be terribly sad, and let me tell you: I cried a lot. But it has an uplifting ending. I wouldn’t suggest this for young readers, but if you think you can handle it, go ahead and read.
