The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
My Rating: 5 stars
Okay, so I’m going to contradict myself at least a million times while writing this, so just bear with me. I have to say, this is one of the strangest books I have ever read. Just the whole way it was written was totally different and original. But at the same time, this is one of the best books I have ever read. From heaven, Susie Salmon watches and follows her family and friends as they try to solve her murder, and she stays with them throughout their lives, as they all try to move on yet still remember Susie at the same time.
I really liked how the author of this novel makes this terribly sad subject painfully humorous and intense. You will remember this book for a long time.

The only bad part of the book is the beginning. Honestly, there really isn’t anything else besides that. This book is so beautiful. Maybe if you let your mom read it first, she’ll let you read it after!
