Evermore by Alyson Noel

My Rating: 2 stars

So the main character of this book, Ever Bloom, lost her mom, dad and younger sister to a freakish car accident. The accident left a huge scar on her forehead. And, after the accident, Ever discovers that she can see people’s auras, read minds, see her dead sister and know someone’s whole life by one touch. She moves to live with her dad’s sister and when she finally gets settled into her new life, a mysterious, gorgeous new guy moves to her town and attends her school. The one weird thing is that her powers don’t work on him.
Okay, so I’m sure you’re thinking: what’s not to love? This book sounds good!
Yes, I thought the main idea was good, the whole aura-seeing and mind reading thing. But it was just too Harry Potter and Twilight mix for me. I couldn’t get past the first hundred pages. The scar: Harry Potter, dead family: Harry Potter. Mysterious guy who somehow blocks Ever’s powers: kind of like Twilight but reversed.
Maybe one day I’ll try reading it again, but not soon.

I’ve been wanting to know what those books are about! I get what you’re saying, I once heard of 2 books with the same names about almost the same thing! I was mad because one was by meg cabot and she wrote hers first!

Don’t be too harsh on the first 2 books. They’re good. Past those the series just grows worse. If the author could downsize the series to three books, I think it might be better.

i read the first two books and the beginning of the third. i agree that it would probably be better if it was a trilogy but once you get into it, the first two really are pretty good books.

That’s exactly what happened to me , I read the resumé and I just thought that it was a nice story and all and then I started reading and honesty I wish I never picked up that book I’m even surprised that I actually could stick til the end, the story is too cheesy the main character is so annoying.what can I say I truly hated this book and I’m sure I’ll never read it again
